Mark Soldin, a spokesman for the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and a consultant plastic surgeon at St George's and Kingston hospitals, said: "Upward curvature of the eyebrows was considered to be an attractive feminine feature in the past.
